An aqueous wonder which can eat with the rice or can have as soup.
2 big tomatoes
1/2 teaspn. jaggery
2 green chillies
1/2 teaspn mustard seeds
4-5 curry leaves
4-5 strands coriander leaves
A pinch asafoetida
1 cup coconut milk (optional)
1 tablespn. Oil
1 teaspn. Salt
*Boil Tomatoes in 4 cups of water. Till they start braking it,s skin.
*When cooled' grind tomatoes, gr. chilles salt & jaggery, using the same water which was used while boiling the tomatoes.
*Sieve this throgh a thick strainer.More water can be added as per thickess required. Some tomatoes have thick pulp so they require some extra water.
*Boil this mixture for 3minutes to make the saar well bleded.
*Add coconut milk in to this saar, stir the mixture & immediatly put off the heat.
* in a saperate pan heat oil, then add musturd seeds.When they stert sputtering add curry leaves & asafoetida and pour it in to the saar. Cover it immedietely for 1/2 minute, to keep the flavour intact.
* Garnish with finely chopped corriander leaves.
