Masala Stuffed Puri (Biscuit Roti)

Recipe Description: 

Traditional & Spicy Amchi Recipe!!! Best for snack time.With variations of stuffed masala.
Both taste equally good...

Serves: 
4-5
Ingredients: 

For Outer cover:
1. Wheat Flour - 2-3 cups
2. 2 tbsp hot oil
3. Salt as per taste
4. Water

For stuffed masala (Variation - 1)
1. 1 cup freshly grated coconut
2. 1/4th cup besan
3. 1/2 cup dhania leaves
4. 5-6 finely chopped green chillies
5. Salt as per taste

Variation - 2
1. 1/2 cup white udid dal
2. 2 tsp chana dal
3. 2 tbsp dhania leaves
4. 4-5 finely chopped green chillies
5. 1/2 cup freshly grated coconut
6. 2 pinch hing
7. Salt as per taste

And oil for deep frying

Instructions: 

1. Mix wheat flour, hot oil, salt and enough water and knead the dough.

2. For variation of stuffed masala 1- mix grated coconut, besan, dhania leaves, salt and green chillies and mix well.

3. And for variation 2- soak white udid dal and chana dal together for 3-4 hours and grind the same coarsely like rava. Then add grated coconut, dhania leaves, green chillies, hing and salt and mix well.

4. Make small balls of the above dough, grease your palm and fingers with little oil and place the dough on the palm. Flatten it with the greased fingers and stuff the masala from variation 1 or 2 and cover the filling fully with the dough. Roll the ball in wheat flour and roll it in to puri and deep fry.

Puris are ready to serve.....
