Kurle (Crab) Curry

Recipe Description: 

Little spicy; good with rice or chapati.

Serves:

Ingredients: 

kurle(crab)medium sized- 4-5

grated coconut - 1 cup

chopped onion - medium,chopped giner-small piece, garlic - 5-6 flakes.
sauf-1 tsp,jeera -1 tsp,BLACK PEPPER 1/2 tsp.

red chilli powder 6 tsp, dhaniya 2-3 tsp,mustard seeds 1/2 tsp.

methi seeds 10-15 .turmeric 1/2 tsp.cocum pieces 5-6. or tamarind juice 1 tsp or tomatoes 2
salt

Instructions: 

Preparing masala:
Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a pan. Add garlic, sauf, jeera, black pepper,mustard seeds,methi seeds,red chilli powder, and dhaniya powder fry on low flame for 15 -20 seconds. Remove and mix it with grated coconut and put termeric powder make a paste of it. Keep aside.

Wash the crab with water thoroughly. cut each in two pieces clean it. Add chopped onion, ginger and a cup of water to the crab. Cook for 10 - 15 minutes on medium flame.

Then add the masala. Mix well. Add cocum pieces or tamarind juice or tomatoes. Add salt to taste. Bring to a boil.

Serve it with rice chapati and dosa.
