a sumptous meal of prawns & rice
Cloves- 4 to 5 nos
Peppercorns- 8 to 10 nos
Cinnamon-1 small stick
Red Chilly Powder-25gms
Green chilly - 25gms
Garam Masala Powder - 25gms
Onions - 2 Big
Oil - 25 ml
Ghee - 25 gm
Coconut - 50 gm
Salt - To Taste
Devein the prawns.Marinate them with the turmeric & Red Chilly Powder.
Soak the the rice after washing clean.
Make a paste of the Gr.Chillies Coriander Ginger & Garlic.(Gr.Masala)
Chop the Onions Fine.
Heat a Handi, Put a little bit of Oil & add the ghee
Now put the the whole Garam Masalas till they start to temper.
Now add the Onions and saute till they become translucent.
Keep a separate vessel with water to boil.
To the Onions now add the Gr.Masala The marinated prawns after the prawns start becoming white add the rice sans the water, once the rice starts to crackle add the boiling water and stir well. Adjust the salt to taste and let the rice cook.
Once the water on the top of the rice is gone add the Garam Masala Powder and cover with a lid.
Cook for 10 to 15 mins.
Once the Rice is cooked serve hot with a garnish of Gr.Coriander Leaves & Grated Coconut
