Crispy batter fried vegetables. Can be used as snacks or as a side dish.
2 potatoes, 1/4kg.suran, 1/4kg.tendli, 2 sweet potatoes, 2 karela (bitter gourd),(other vegetables of choice)
1 cup rice flour or all purpose flour (atta)
2 teasp. salt,
1 teasp. powdered jaggery
1 teasp. chilli powder
Oil for deep frying
Peel and slice all the vegetables separately.
Add salt, chilli powder & jaggery and marinate for 1 hour.
Individually drip excess batter off the pieces of vegetables and dust them in dry flour.
Deep fry them till they become golden yellow.
